Bates County Fair parade coming July 7th...

The Bates County Fair will kick off with the Parade that will hit the Butler Square on Tuesday, July 7th. “Barn in the USA” is the theme for this year’s parade.

Line up and judging will begin at 5 pm at the Bates County Fairgrounds and participants must check in with officials at the front gate. You must check in to be judged and there will be no late judging.

The parade will leave the fairgrounds at 5:30 and should arrive at the Butler Square by approximately 6pm. Cash prizes will be given to animal drawn vehicles, floats, bicycles for ages 12 and under and 3 or 4 wheelers.
Ribbons and trophies will be given to the antique/classic automobiles and tractors as well as ribbons to the horse groups.

Musical groups and comedy floats are also welcome. A trophy sponsored by Don Law will be given to the saddle club with the most members.
