Belton police search for 16-year-old who allegedly ran away from home

BELTON, Mo. — Police in Belton, Misssouri are asking for the communities assistance in finding a teenage girl who is accused of running away from home.

16-year-old Makila Ressel has been gone from her home for several days, according to police.

Police say the teen has been in contact with friends in the Belton area, and they believe she is being assisted by others in the area to continue avoiding her family.

Makila is described as 5’6″ tall, 115 pounds.
