North Carolina Felon arrested by Bates County Sheriffs Office

On July 28, 2015, Detectives from the Bates County Sheriff's Office received a call from the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office in North Carolina in reference to a stolen four wheeler. The suspect was identified as Curtis Edward Wells from Bath, North Carolina. Mr. Wells was heading to a residence in Urich, MO. 

He was reported to have the stolen 4 wheeler with him as well as other stolen items. Detectives and Deputies responded to the Urich address and recovered the stolen four wheeler. 

Curtis Edward Wells (DOB 10/16/1983) was taken into custody at the scene. Wells had three no bond warrants out of Beaufort County, North Carolina for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Burglary and Felony Theft. 

Mr. Wells was booked into the Bates County Jail.
