It's everybody else's fault

I'm sympathetic to many of the critiques in Hilary Goodfriend's USAID's Trojan Horse but, at some point, everything that is wrong today in El Salvador cannot just include the United States Embassy and USAID, ARENA, the right-wing in the Legislative Assembly, the Supreme Court and its Constitutional Chamber, the media, and ANEP, FUSADES, and the "recalcitrant capitalist class. The way the argument is structured gives the impression that they are part of a conspiracy against El Salvador and the good people of the FMLN. The FMLN has controlled the presidency for nearly a decade yet all of the country's failings are the result of everybody else. There's no critical look at those in charge, the FMLN.
