Head on crash seriously injures Urich woman

The Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County responded to a 2 vehicle accident last night around 6:15 p.m. on Missouri 2 Highway just West of Route Z in rural Cass County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2000 Dodge Dakota truck driven by 53 year old Wayne E. Stewart of Breckenridge, Missouri was Westbound in the Eastbound lanes of Missouri 2 Highway when he struck a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero driven by Christina J. Walton of Urich, Missouri head on.

Both drivers were injured in this accident Mr. Stewart received moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, Mo.

Christina Walton received serious injuries and was life flighted to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene by Johnson's Tow.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted by The Cass County Sheriffs Office.
