UPDATE: Two in custody after early morning chase near Amsterdam

Bates County Sheriff Chad Anderson is reporting that two of three suspects that attempted to evade authorities this morning are in custody.

Around 7:30 a.m. deputies were dispatched to a location near Amsterdam on a report of a burglary in process. Upon arrival, the suspects fled in a black two door car towards Kansas.

During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle rammed the police cruiser, causing extensive damage. The occupants fled the vehicle on foot.

Two suspects have been taken into custody by the Bates County Sheriff's Office. The search for the third person has been suspended, as authorities believe they know his identity and possible whereabouts.
