Appleton City man arrested for felony stealing from Dollar General

On July 2, Jonavon Loney, 23, Appleton City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class C felony of theft/stealing. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

The charge stems from an incident the previous day when a St. Clair County deputy took a stealing report at Dollar General, Appleton City. Dollar General Regional Loss Prevention Manager Steve McKinney reported he was reviewing video surveillance of the store and discovered Loney, an employee of Dollar General, stealing from the store. 

The total loss of the store was estimated at $3,950 from incidents beginning in March 2014 and continuing through June 2015.
