Bates County Fair Sweepstakes Award Winners Announced

BUTLER, MO – July 27, 2015)  - It is time to wrap up the 2015 Bates County Fair with the announcement of the Butler Lions Club Sweepstakes Award winners.  This announcement is usually made when the other fair awards are presented at the livestock auction, but because of the horseshow rainout, winners could not be announced until the results of the rescheduled horseshow were final. 

Bates County 4-H Youth Specialist Alan J. Mundey has announced that the Lions Club Sweepstakes award winners for 2015 are Maylen Lawson (Summit Go Getters 4-H) and Merritt Roach (Ballard 4-H)  This award honors the high point individual boy and girl for overall achievement for both building and livestock exhibits at the fair.
