Former Joplin teacher sentenced to 8 years for sex crimes

JOPLIN, MISSOURI - Update 7/20/2015:  Jessica Low's plea agreement was accepted. She was sentenced for four years for Count I Statutory Rape in the 2nd Degree (Class C Felony) and four years for Count II Sexual Contact with a student (Class D Felony).

Updated 5/18/2015:  Low entered a plea deal to two of three counts: 2nd Degree Rape and Sexual Conduct with Student. Sentencing is set for July 20, 2015.

June 2, 2014:  Jessica Low, 32, worked as a Communication Arts Teacher at Joplin's Freshman Sophomore Campus. School officials tell us she resigned back in March. Investigators say Low sent pornographic images to male students and also had a sexual relationship with one student. 

Low is charged w/ Furnishing Pornographic Material To A Minor, statutory Sodomy, and Statutory Rape in the 2nd Degree.
