Four tornadoes confirmed Wednesday in Missouri; one in the Ozarks
NEAR WARSAW, Mo. - The National Weather Service confirmed four tornadoes Wednesday night in Missouri, including one in Benton County.
That EF-1 twister struck Benton County at 9:56 p.m. The path stretches from three miles northwest of Warsaw to half-a-mile west of the town. Trees were uprooted and a tent was damaged in the 94 mile an hour winds.
Lees Summit near Kansas City had two twisters. The first, an EF-1, had a path about a mile long and 100-miles-an-hour winds. The second was 75-mile-an-hour winds. The path was less than half a mile.
The fourth tornado Wednesday night was in Pleasant Hill. That EF-0 had 85-mile-an-hour winds and the path was a little more than a mile long.
