Funeral and Masonic services for Barney L. Goddard will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri with Clark Carroll officiating. Visitation will be prior to the services from 10 - 11 a.m. at the Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Johnstown Cemetery in Johnstown, Missouri. In lieu of flowers contributions to the family for funeral expenses, American Cancer Society or Crossroads Hospice.

Barney Lee Goddard, age 75 of Independence, Missouri died Saturday, July 25, 2015 at his home. He was born July 3, 1940 to Joe Lee and Norma Evelyn Geurin Goddard in Santa Barbara, California.

Barney is survived by his wife Carolyn Goddard of Independence, Missouri; one son, Joe Goddard of Independence, Missouri; three daughters, Robin Burke of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Tracy Goddard of Marble Hill, Missouri and Laura McKinney of Butler, Missouri; one sister, Neta Marie Browning of Butler, Missouri; seven grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Jewell Spears of Ottawa, Kansas; two brothers-in-law, Gary Spears and wife Sue of Pamona, Kansas and Ronnie Davidson of Grandview, Missouri; numerous nephews, nieces and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Dennis Goddard.
