UPDATE: Man life flighted after motorcycle crash East of Passaic

Around 11:50 a.m. This morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with The Butler Fire Department, Bates County EMS and The Bates County Sheriffs Office all responded to a one vehicle motorcycle accident on D Highway at Route Z Highway East of Passaic.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1997 Honda Shadow Motorcycle driven by 44 year old Jerry D. McGinnis of Independence, Missouri was East bound on Route D when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, returning to the roadway and overturning ejecting the driver.

Mr. McGinnis received serious injuries in this accident and was flown to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri by Life Flight.

The bike was towed from the scene by Don's Tow of Butler.
