Tragedy in Santa Catarina Pinula

Heavy rains caused a deadly mudslide in Santa Catarina Pinula, Guatemala on Friday. Authorities have confirmed 31 deaths, 450 missing, and 125 homes destroyed. There might be some survivors among the missing as rescue workers are communicating through text messages with people who remain buried under the landslide. Rescue operations will begin again this morning.
