Investigators in El Salvador continue raiding the home of former Salvadoran President Mauricio Funes, where they have removed a large number of weapons and ammunition.
Three days after Salvadoran authorities began removing semi-automatic weapons and ammunition inside the home, investigators were still seen seizing more items Monday.
The head of the anti-corruption unit in the District Attorney's office told reporters that authorities were still trying to quantify the large number of weapons Funes kept at his home.
Authorities initially raided his residence in search of evidence that would link him to corruption.
They were surprised by the arsenal they found, which was initially reported to be a little over 80 weapons.
Funes didn't start out this way. He still seemed to be a reasonable person and president through 2011. Some debate about the cause of his apparent change - Friends of Mauricio, Saca, drugs and alcohol, power going to his head.
