Arrest order for El Salvador's former first lady

Former Salvadoran First Lady Ana Ligia Mixco de Saca has been ordered arrested on money laundering and conspiracy charges. The charges are related to her husband's corruption investigation. The court and lawyers are still haggling over the appropriate bond and whether Mixco's medical condition warrants some special treatment.

Honestly, Mixco wasn't the first lady I was expecting to see arrested when I opened the article. It makes sense but, for some reason, I was expecting to see Vanda Pignato's name.

Two weeks ago, we learned that the Office of the Attorney General was moving against Tony Saca's cousin, Herbert Saca.
