Traffic stop in Butler leads to drug arrest

On 06/25/15 at around midnight Butler Officers stopped a 2001 Pontiac for a lane violation. During the traffic stop the driver, Keeli Ann Hough a 31 year old female, refused to a consent search of the vehicle. At that time a Bates County Sheriff’s K9 was called to the scene and performed a free air sniff of the vehicle. 

The K9 alerted on the back rear door of the vehicle. Illegal items were located inside the vehicle and both the driver and passenger, Charles Dwayne Westmoreland Jr a 31 year old male, were arrested and transported to the Bates County Jail. 
 
Both the driver and passenger were charged with Felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia, along with possession of marijuana

Mr. Westmoreland faces additional charges for resisting arrest and possible weapons charges.
