Authorities investigate reported drowning at Hillsdale Lake
Miami County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the Jayhawk Beach at 7:19 p.m. Sunday. Kansas Wildlife and Parks authorities were already at the scene.
Witnesses say a Hispanic man was swimming in the designated swim area. The man was apparently struggling to stay above water.
People then saw the man go underwater and did not resurface.Authorities from Osawatomie, Overland Park and a dive team from Johnson County are at the scene assisting with recovery efforts
