Gerald Lee Dearston, age 85 of Deepwater, MO, passed away at Golden Valley Medical Center, on Tuesday, July 21, 2015.
Gerald was born January 1, 1930 to Frederick and Saluda ‘Bungenstock’ Dearston. He worked for Peabody Coal Company for 32 years. Gerald loved the Lord, gardening, fishing and liked helping others. He married Ruby Hansen of Canada, and to this union five children were born; Pam Dearston, Brenda Gregory, Wanda Dearston, Vicki Blakely and Jerry Dearston.
Gerald is survived by his loving wife Linda; his daughters, Pam, Brenda, Vicki; his son, Jerry; his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; three sisters, Carolyne Colson, Donna Harper and JoElla Walker; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many caring friends.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marjorie Mitchell; a brother Ted Dearston; a daughter, Wanda Dearston; and the mother of his children, Ruby Hansen Dearston.
The family will receive visitors at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Consalus Funeral Home, Clinton. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 PM, followed by Interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Brownington, MO.
The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the G. L. Dearston Memorial Fund and left in care of Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. 2nd St., Clinton, MO 64735.
