Deepwater man arrested on warrant

On July 24, Daniel Chiles, 37, formerly from Deepwater and now from Odessa, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on an original misdemeanor charge of stealing. On Feb. 18 Chiles pled guilty and was sentenced to one year in St. Clair County Jail with the execution of sentence suspended. Chiles was placed on unsupervised probation for two years and ordered to pay restitution.  A class C felony charge of burglary-second degree was dismissed by the prosecutor the same day.
