Fatality motorcycle crash in Cass County

Around 7:00 p.m. last night The Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County with assistance from The Cass County Sheriffs Office and Harrisonville Police Department all responded to a 1 vehicle motorcycle accident on I-49 South bound just North of Missouri 7 Highway.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2008 Honda Goldwing driven by 58 year old Mitchell R. Neimann of Eagle Rock, Missouri was South bound on I-49 when he traveled off the left side of the roadway, over correcting and returning to the roadway before overturning. 

Mr. Niemann was ejected from the motorcycle and the bike came to rest on the highway. The driver was pronounced dead at 7:31 p.m. by Dr. Spencer Kirk at Belton Regional Medical Center.

The fatality crash is the 22nd Fatality Accident for Troop A of The Missouri State Highway Patrol this year.
